Ric Emmett wrote this book as a sequel to his first Gomo book: The Adventures of Gomo the Rubber Duck which was published in 2012. Starting Gomo for President in 2012, he set it aside while he finished his book on Amercian Art Deco Furniture which was published in 2015. All the notes he made for this book as well as what photos went with what text were very clearly marked by Ric so both Iza Emmett and Amanda MacMaster were able to bring the book to life!
When Marjorie Goldman of Piano Nobile told me she was designing "Florida Everglades Wallpaper" I tried to imagine what she was thinking. Little did I know how excited I would be when I saw the first samples: Whimsical designs inconrporating the Everglades' birds and flowers set on backgrounds that emulate the various colors that form the backdrop for Everglades wildlife. Marjoire tells me she grew up going to the 'Glades and was fascinated by everything she saw.
There is an Art Deco Jewel in Ormond Beach. The "31 Supper Club" at 31 West Granada Boulevard is a must see! Created in the best Art Deco tradition, the interior has actual period pieces by Wolfgang Hoffmann, Gilbert Rohde, Paul Frankl and many other great designers of the period. The blue-neon enhanced bar is from the 1930's.
There are few people that have had the incredibly interesting life that Kevin has had. Here he shares his Interior Design of a great apartment in Central Park with a Spanish TV station. Subtitled of course!!
