"Manhattan" cocktail set comprised of cocktail shaker, matching cocktail tray and ultra-rare matching Manhattan candlesticks, circa 1935.
This is the Holy Grail of collectible cocktail shakers to the cocktail shaker connosseur, representing one of the most iconic of all Art Deco cocktail shakers of the era.
Designed by the great American designer Norman Bel Geddes. The design was specifically a tribute to and reflected the towering skyscrapers of New York City that were rising from the ground during the Art Deco boom years for the City ... think Chrysler Building, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Chanin Building, etc.
The shaker, tray and candlesticks are all in excellent to very good original condition. The shaker interior is clean as a whistle and appears to have either not been used or used very lightly - see photo of shaker, strainer and lid interiors.
