Description

1930's French Art Deco dining table by Dominique, Andre Domin and Marcel Genevriere.  Bibliography: Duncan, Alastair. Art Deco Complete. Thames & Hudson Ltd., 2009.

Dominique was founded by Andre Domin (1883-1962) and Marcel Genevriere (1885-1976).  Their showroom was located at 104 Faubourg, St. Honore.  Their furniture design was characterized by simplicity and dignity.  One of Dominique's first commissions was to provide furniture for the home of silver designer Jean Puiforcat in Biarritz.

This dining table, an exceptional example of their work, is made of exquisite Palisander, hand refinished in our luxe Italian polyester high gloss finish to a mirror-like result.

The table exhibits extremely engaging feet, with graceful arched curves seemingly supporting the table's mass in a magical manner. Four fluted columns each rest upon an arched foot, all connected by a beautifully turned cross support.

This piece has been carefully hand stripped and refinished to an exceptional mirror-like high gloss using Deco-Dence's trademark Italian polyester finish that is totally water and alcohol impervious and extremely resilient to bumps, bruises and scratches.

Our Italian finish is world-class ... found on the interiors of private jets, yachts, and motorcoaches and on only the highest end pieces by luxury cabinet makers such as Dakota Jackson and Brueton.  With just a little TLC your Deco-Dence piece will look absolutely fabulous for decades and decades to come ... providing on ROI unmatched by any Gallery!

The dining table represents a highly collectible work of functional art by one of the most desirable French Art Deco designers ... for the demanding connoisseur.
