Dolphin Promotions Announces New Miami Antiques + Art + Design Show to be Held January 22-24, 2016 at Miami Airport Convention Center After a 3-year hiatus from the Miami market, veteran show organizer Dolphin Promotions is pleased to announce it is returning with a new show, the Miami Antiques + Art + Design Show, to be held at the Miami Airport Convention Center (MACC) on January 22-24. The dates are just in advance of the Original Miami Beach Antiques Show held at the Miami Beach Convention Center from January 28 through February 1, allowing both dealers and customers in South Florida to attend and participate in both events. The inaugural Miami Antiques + Art + Design Show will feature 100 national and international exhibitors offering a broad range of rare antique furniture, decorative and fine arts including silver, paintings, bronzes, porcelain, antique and estate jewelry, Asian antiques, pottery, rare books, lighting, crystal, prints, rugs, textiles, vintage clothing and accessories representing all design movements from ancient to 20th century modern. Dolphin Promotions organized the Miami National Antiques Show & Sale at the same venue for over 35 years before selling to long time industry ally and colleague U.S. Antique Shows three years ago. U.S. Antique Shows last week announced the cancellation of their event scheduled for these dates at MACC. Subsequently, many show dealers contacted Rosemary Krieger, President of Dolphin Promotions, requesting that she fill this year's void. Over the past several years, MAAC has undergone a $20 million renovation which includes new lighting, A/C, escalators, elevators, restrooms, flooring, and a completely new entrance lobby. The adjacent Doubletree Miami Mart Hotel has also received extensive improvements and offers antique show exhibitors and attendees a competitive rate and convenient on-site location. The show hours are Friday, Noon to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Noon to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, Noon to 5 p.m. Weekend admission is $10; good for return entry all 3 days.
