The Regency period in England influenced the 20th Century designers such as Art Deco greats Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann and Sue et Mare in France.  It then travelled to America (after returning home to England where Sibyl Colefax and Syrie Maugham created stylized interiors) where it influenced Hollywood set designers in the 1930's and 40's and influenced Billy Haines and T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings.  A MUST READ!!!
