Description

"Sans Titre I" (Untitled I), by Pierre Faucher. Etching in colors, excellent condition, archivally matted and museum quality framed. Comes with exhibition catalogue. Excellent condition, archivally matted and museum quality frame. Frame in excellent condition. (26 3/4in x 22 5/8in) Pierre Faucher is a French artist who lives in Paris. He is well known throughout France and Europe. His works often juxtapose contemporary images with the historical. That is the case with this etching where he displays the 'modern' railroad as a means of transportation during World War II with the use of mules to transport weapons on the field of battle. He won scholarships to the Villa Medicis in both 1988 and 1989, and since then has exhibited widely, participating in many group shows, and with solo exhibitions in Paris, Nantes, Cologne, and elsewhere.
