So I came to Mar del Plata to see the new museum they have built right on the Atlantic Ocean. That's my next blog. I'm walking along the beautiful sidewalk which runs paralell to the coast, the waves crashing against huge rocks and sending a sea spray onto everyone on the Esplanade. It's Summer here.
Never in my life did I expect to see the smiling face of Pelli looking down at me from a huge wall around what seemed to be a giant complex. Everything is blue!!! It's such a great surprise to find such cool stuff when one least expects it! It's in Spanish (the video) but I think you'll get the gist of things. Expected to be finished in the next year or so. GREAT MID CENTURY MODERN ARCHITECT GOING BOLDLY INTO THE 21ST CENTURY!
