A REPUTATION FOR INNOVATION: Eero Saarinen This retrospective exhibition explores highlights of Eero Saarinen's architectural career, including such stellar projects as the TWA Terminal at JFK Airport, the Gateway Arch in St. Louis MO, and Dulles Airport in Washington DC. It also reveals new information about Saarinen's unusual WW2 employment: illustrating bomb dis-assembly manuals at the Office of Strategic Services, the clandestine operations predecessor to the C.I.A. That work, which encouraged the breaking of usual design constraints, had a profound influence on Saarinen's later design concepts.
