Industrial designer, project designer, Roger Tallon (1929-2011) also oscillated between art and design and was a player on the art scene of the XX th century.
Collaborator Jacques Vienot in Technès in 1953, he founded in 1973 his own agency Design Programmes SA and created ADSA Partners from 1983 to 1993. While working for the industry, he was a major player in design education (he founded in 1963 the industrial design department at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs) and participates in the structuring of the ICSID ( International Council of Societies of Industrial Design). Since 1972, and even today, it provides the graphic design of the magazine Art Press founded by Catherine Millet.
In 2008, Roger Tallon donated to the Decorative Arts of all its archives that span his entire professional career of 50 years to the present day in all areas of design and manufacturing.These archives consist of drawings, working drawings, photographs, notes, descriptions, press folders marketing and communication, contracts, deposits models ... reveal all "think tank and research" unrealized or actual ( include the Reef, the TGV, the TGV Atlantique, TGV Duplex, Eurostar Téléavia the funicular Paris, the Lip watches, Pathé, 3T service, cryptogams seats, M400 furniture, etc..) that s' part of a professional commitment to businesses, the largest in the smaller, as Lip, Alstom, Téléavia Peugeot Frères, Sentou ...
Roger Tallon wishes and his work and knowledge can be made available to the public and researchers reported the greatest number.
The Decorative Arts celebrate his work by proposing a launch of its archives .
