A heightened interest in art deco design is taking hold these days, say a number of dealers. “As today’s collectors see art deco as the precursor of modern design, that element of historical importance makes for enormous appeal,” explains Fabien Mathivet, whose eponymous gallery is located on the Left Bank in Paris.
