This listing is for one oil on burlap painting by Luckner Lazard (b. Haiti, 1928). This Port-au-Prince native started to paint since childhood. From 1945 to 1950, Luckner Lazard studied painting and sculpture at the Centre D’Art and 1950 he founded the Foyer des Arts Plastiques, then received a scholarship to study in Paris for two years. Signed and dated "62" on the lower right. Measures 49.5" high x 26" long, framed. Numerous exhibitions feature his work in the U.S., Mexico, Germany, Spain, France, Cuba, Brazil, and other countries show the widespread appreciation of his work.
