Domingo Ramos
Born 1949

Domingo Ramos was born in San Ramon de Alajuela, 11 September 1949, in the bosom of a humble family. It is the third of nine children (six girls and three boys) children Misael Ramos Vega and Maria Araya Badilla.

He entered public school and started primary education.
· 1962
Diploma conclusion Elementary School: La Palma. San Miguel, Piedades South San Ramon, Alajuela.
· 1968
He gets the Bachelor of the Higher Institute of San Ramon.
· 1969
Joined the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Costa Rica.
· 1974
He gets the title of Professor of Secondary Education in the Field of Visual Arts, University of Costa Rica.
With distinction obtained a degree in Fine Arts with emphasis in Sculpture at the University of Costa Rica.
· 1975
Joined the Faculty of Literature and Philosophy at the University of Rome, Italy, a grant from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country.
Join the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, and follow the regular course of sculpture with renowned Italian sculptor Pericle Fazzini.
· 1977
Make a course of one year on "Restoration of Archaeological Pieces" at the Institute of Restoration in Rome, Italy.
· 1978
Gets Scholarship Institute Italo Latino Americano in Rome (IILA) to complete the studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
· 1979
He gets the title of Specialization in History of Medieval and Modern Art, Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, University of Rome, Italy, with critics and art historians, professors recognized: Romanini Angiola Maria and Giulio Carlo Argan, respectively.
He gets the title "Laurea" with specialization in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy.
Enter the Professional Institute of State for Industry and Handicrafts of marble "Pietro Tacca" scholarship from the Italian government.

Obtained the diploma of completion and achievement in the 1979-80 course, "Corso Speciale per Straniere, 7th Corso Tecniche sulle Lavorazione della Pietra di Marmo e" at the Istituto Professionale di Stato Per L'Industria e L'Artigianato del Marmo " Pietro Tacca "Carrara, Italy.

Participates in the "Art of America" seminar, held in Washington, DC, Minnesota, Oregon, Texas and New York, invited by the State Department of the United States of America.
