This is a European Art Deco gazelle lamp with a marble base, circa 1920's. The base is a beautiful beige color with reddish-purple and white marbling throughout. The spelter gazelle is featured at one corner, looking over his shoulder as if he is being chased, and leaping through the air. The globe is at the opposite side, as if he is about to jump over it. The globe has a light yellow color with thin metallic gold stripes. There is a push button on/off switch. The lamp is in excellent working condition. It has been rewired to meet American standards. The glass globe is original and has some very minor speckling. The base measures 8" long, 1" high, and 3.25" wide. The globe has a diameter of approximately 3.5" with a height of approximately 5.5", including the base.
