This is an English Arts & Crafts fireplace overmantel likely made by Shapland and Petter. It is inset with two Art Nouveau stylised floral repousse' copper panels and two mirrors. The larger, bottom mirror has beveled edges, the top mirror with beveled edges and a central etched starburst. The date March 24, 1909 is stamped onto the back of each mirror. There is a scroll pediment, a pair of fluted pilasters, and scrolled elements at each side at the bottom.
