Etching by Moishe Smith - "A Gothic Tale" - 1970

Titled "A Gothic Tale", this etching numbered #36/50 depicts a crowd in front of an enormous Gothic Cathedral as some sort of procession is underway. Refer to photos for the documentation on the back of the etching. The frame is 34.5" Width x 29.5" Height and the etching is 27" Width x 21" Height.

Moishe Smith (1929 - 1993) was an artist who taught at The University of Ohio, The University of Wisconsin and the Utah State University. Considered a master print maker with a specialty in the Intaglio technique, his works have been exhibited in various museums in the midwest.
