Mid-Century Modern gilt iron coffee table in the form of a sheaf of wheat with a round glass top. Made in Italy, the table is nick-named after Coco Chanel as she received a similar table as a present for her Paris apartment. The gilt metal does show some finish wear commensurate with age with the expected loss of gilding; the original glass top has surface scratches.
