"Howard's Chair" by Jay Stanger (American, b. 1956) dated 1989. The sculptural chair is made of anodized aluminum, leather, lacewood, purpleheart, ebony and Pau Amarillo. The work was acquired from a Long Island estate. There is a functioning mechanism to adjust the back angle. The chair is quite substantial and quite sturdy. Additional photographs are available if requested.
There is overall fading to the finishes and wear as shown. There appear to be missing decorative pieces and there is wear to the veneer on the back leg. The leather seat has a hole as shown.
