Description

Gilbert Rohde (1894-1944) designed this chest for the Herman Miller Furniture Company, Zeeland Michigan in 1933 and a similar example was shown at the 1933 World’s Fair the Design For Living house. The chest, in American ash and mahogany veneers has brushed chrome pulls. Two drawers sit atop two doors which open to reveal storage drawers. The chest is from Rohde’s 3319 group and is 40” wide, 19” deep, and 38” high.
