This American art deco streamline pitcher was designed by Peter Muller-Munk (1904 – 1967) for the Revere Brass and Copper Company in 1935. Called the “Normandie”, as it was inspired by the funnels of the famed French ocean liner. The tear shaped water pitcher is finished in bright nickel plated brass and is in excellent condition. Examples of the pitcher are in the Brooklyn Museum and the British Museum. It is pictured in Design 1935 – 1965: What Modern Was, At Home in Manhattan, The Machine Age in America and American Art Deco. The pitcher is 12” high and in great original condition.
