George Nakashima (1905 -1990) designed this mid century modern design side table for his Origins line, produced by the Widdicomb Furniture Company, Grand Rapids, Michigan. The table in solid walnut, is finished on all sides, so it can be placed anywhere in the room. The curved top sits In a gently curved back with a single tapered foot with a stretcher, which is pegged in the rear. The table has its original paper Widdicomb label and is stenciled on the underside of top “oil wal” (the finish oiled walnut) “282” (the model number) and “8/60” (the date it was made) It is 20” wide, 27” deep and 21” high.
