Description

This American art deco silverplate on copper and brass water pitcher was designed by Louis W. Rice for Bernard Rice’s Sons in 1928. The pitcher, with its stepped-up top and “black smokestack handles” is from the Skyscraper line of the Apollo Studios Division. The pitcher is 9 7/8” tall. It is pictured in Alastair Duncan’s book American Art Deco and Charlotte & Peter Fiell’s book 20’s Decorative Art.
