This rare American art deco Gilbert Rohde clock with thermometer and humidity gauge is an unusual pre production example of Herman Miller’s Model 6381 first listed in their 1937 Catalog. In contrast to the production model, it is identified as Herman Miller on the clock face rather than on a metal tag on the bottom. The lacquered wood feet considerably smaller in diameter than in the production model. The clock has the brushed steel face, macassar ebony case and three “speed” bars as found on the regular production model. The clock is 5 ¾” high, 10” wide and 2 ¼” deep.
