Charles Schneider (1881-1953) created this compote for a series that he called, "Coupes Bijoux". It was produced from 1922 until 1926. The glass portion is of powdered glass in a mutteled violet, orange, and yellow glass with a violet stem. The stem rests on a wrought iron circular foot. The compote is signed on the bulbous portion of the stem, "Schneider". It is 7 3/4" high and 6 1/2" in diameter.
