Paul Frankl (1886 - 1958) designed this American Art Deco console for the Johnson Furniture Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was produced in the 1940's. It has an inset mitered black frame in the center which has a ridged texture. The piece is identical when viewed from both sides. The upturned ends of the top create movement and interest. The piece is 47.62 inches long by 21 inches deep and 31.38 inches high.
