Description

The Brooklyn Bottling Group is today one of the largest beverage and food companies in the United States.  It was founded by Jack Miller in 1936 where it started out selling seltzers and syrups door to door in Brooklyn neighborhoods.  Their line of New Yorker Beverages became very popular.   Arnold Miller, the second generation, acquired the first bottling facility and began to produce drinks in 1947.   The image of the "New Yorker" on their seltzer and soft drink bottles shows a dapper tuxedo-clad gentleman carrying two bottles of New Yorker bottles with a lady in evening gown on his arm, both headed towards very streamlined New York skyline.   The image is currently copyrighted by C.A. Weide but I'm in the process of doing more research as to who actually designed the original logo.   More as I find out.  The company now sells fruit juces and is based in Milton, New York with warehouses and distribution centers in Brooklyn, Miami, Orlando and Atlanta.   It manufactures, distributes, imports and sells over 50 brands of soft drinks, fruit juices, food and household items.  Recently acquired Iberia Food Group.  This very rare advertising sign is 24" in diameter and is in very good original condition.
