Gilbert Rohde (1894 - 1944) designed this torchiere floor lamp in the late 1930’s for Mutual Sunset Lamp Company, Brooklyn, New York. The lamp in copper and maroon enamel features a triple shade in copper with a copper support atop a maroon enamel shaft. The shaft rests on a domed fitting on a maroon enamel base with four cooper feet. The lamp is marked on the base “MSLC” (Mutual Sunset Lamp Company) and “3489” (the model number). The fixture is 68” tall, is in great original condition and has been rewired.
