This French art deco cameo glass vase is by Charles Schneider (1881-1962) and is signed on the foot “Le Verre Francais” and on the bottom “France”. The deep ochre to brown upper layer is acid cut and wheel cut to reveal the mottled pale orange ground. The cutting, Lauriers, was produced between 1924 and 1927. The vase measures 8 ½” high and is 8” in diameter.
