This table was designed in 1956 by Eero Saarinen (1910-1961) for Knoll Furniture Company. It was part of the TULIP or pedestal group which knoll advertised as "The Saarinen Collection". He said the collection "As to the pedestal furniture, the undercarriage of chairs and tables in a typical interior makes an ugly, confusing, unrestful world. I wanted to clear up the slum of legs". The Table has a base of molded cast Aluminum finished white. The table is 28 1/2" high, 36" wide, and 54" long.
