Walter Dorwin Teague (1883 -1960) designed this American art deco camera and box in 1930 for the Eastman-Kodak Company, Rochester, New York. Known as the Kodak Gift 1A Camera and Case, the camera and case both are in excellent original condition. A true icon of the Machine Age, they convey the utility and playfulness which embody the period. Teague’s enamel design on the metal top of the case, repeated on the front of the camera, captures the American spirit of the time. The case is 3 ½” high, 8” long and 6 ½” wide, the camera is 2 3/8” high, 8 7/8” long and 4 3/8” wide.
