Servrackx, at the age of sixteen began studies at the Art Academy in Brussels, graduating in 1917 with the Grand Prize of the Academy. In 1924 Servranckx had his first solo exibition at the Brussels' Galerie Royale. This also marked his international breakthrough. He thus came to the attention of well-known foreign artists such as André Breton , Marcel Duchamp and Fernand Léger. His works are now scattered across many private collections, and found in major museums around the world including: the the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium in Brussels, Museum of the Sea in Ostend, the Ixelles Museum , the Museum of Modern Art Stiftung Ludwig Wien , the Lehmbruck Museum in Duisburg.
