Pair of American Art Deco Smoke Stands by Percival Goodman

Description

This pair of smoke stands was designed by Percival Goodman (1904- 1989) in 1933 and assigned to the Mckay Company, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. In their 1936 catalog it is listed as ‘No. 450 smoker”. The smoker sits on a ebonized wood base with a curved chrome steel bar holding a 9” in diameter round ebonized wood shelf with a chrome ashtray inserted. The tray is 24” high, the stand is 27 ½” high.
