American Art Deco Gill Novelty Chandelier Circa 1930

Reference:

MPD-001447
Description

Fantastic and RARE five light theme chandelier from Gill Manufacturing Circa 1930. Gill called this series, that used a keg motif for a shade, “Novel Lighting Fixtures“.

In his catalog he says that these fixtures were for “Taverns“, “Rathskellers” and “Tap Rooms”.

He brags in the '30s catalog, that the glass keg shades are true reproductions of real wood carvings. The series did contain single shade light fixtures of various sizes

but this chandelier was top of the line.

Measurements: It is approximately 24” tall but since it has a chain link, it can be lengthened.
The diameter is about 18 ½” outside shade to outside shade.

Electrical: Completely rewired with new high grade porcelain sockets and new central lead wire.

Metal Frame is aluminum with an antique pewter finish.

Since we are curators of the only American Art Deco Museum, (see www.thedecomuseum.com ) we are able to authenticate this fixture and have one identical to it in our museum.

Price:

$1,450.00
