Description

Original Sculpture By Salvador Dali, Signed and numbered 244/350.

In Greek mythology, Terpsícore or Terpsícores (in Greek Τερψιχόρη, 'the one that delights in dance') is the muse of dance, of the own light poetry to accompany in the dance to the choirs of dancers, and is also considered as the muse of choral singing.

Teripsicore  is the daughter of Zeus and deMosmosine, like all muses.

Terpsicore is represented by Dalí in two aspects. Soft in its carnal representation faces the hard metal, in this game of tradition versus modernity so characteristic of Dali. Terpíscore Cubist represents the chaos and rhythm of modern life, while its opposite is internal harmony.
