This is a Daum crystal elephant. The elephant is a rich amber color that is darkest at the center of the body and gradually becomes lighter throughout the limbs. It stands with one foot in front of the other as if to take a step forward and its trunk is positioned resting on its forehead, a sign of good luck. The elephant is rendered in a realistic style with prominent grooves in the skin and around the eyes. The underside of the right, back foot is etched with "Daum, France." The piece is in excellent condition with no damage of any kind. It measures approximately 4" in length, 2" wide, and 3.75" high.
