A rare set of four desk chairs designed by famous architect Ettore Sottsass (1917 - 2007) and manufactured by Olivetti Synthesis, Italy. Ettore played an important creative role in many industries during his life, including furniture, lighting, jewelery, office machines, and industrial and private architecture. His designs for Knoll and Olivetti were iconic mid-twentieth century and lead to the formation of the Memphis Group, which he is noted for founding in 1981.
