Ca. 1900 This highly unusual brass figural light fixture is both expressive and dramatic. Simulating draped silk, the main staff exhibits an organic composition of twisted folds, fringes and tassels as it stretches downward to the winged cherub figure holding a mass of foliage in one hand and a flame in the other. The original gold-plated brass has a natural patina and the castings are of the highest quality known with an extraordinary amount of the refinement completed by hand. Each of the four light bulbs is wrapped in a beaded crystal casing. 45"H x 21"W
