This large and impressive French art deco hall tree is from the 1930’s. The stand, a masterpiece of the Ferronier’s art, features a swiveling mirror, a rack for hats, six hooks for coats, a space for wet umbrellas, spaces for walking canes and a box at the bottom for galoshes. Despites its utility, it is a work of art with various iron working techniques including wavy vertical lines of bent iron, hammered vertical lines of iron, beaten placques behind polished coat hangers and intricate swirls and geometric panels on the front of the boot box. The hall tree is 77” high, 43 ¼” wide and is 7 ¾” deep.
