Classic French Art Deco pair of club chairs by Andre Frechet in sculpted cherry. Andre Frechet was a French decorator, furniture designer and professor. He was director of studies at the Ecole Boulle (furniture design school) in Paris in 1923 after having taught there from 1911. From 1919-34 he was director of the school. He also served as editor of the magazine Mobilier et Decoration, designed for the Studium Louvre, and taught at Academie Julian in Paris.
