Description

A colorful charger depicting an abstract rooster by Jean LurÇat (French 1892-1966) A main representative of the École de Paris, Lurçat is known as a painter, tapestry maker and ceramicist. During the 1950s Lurçat collaborated with the Sant-Vicens ceramic studios near Perpignan. His ceramic designs resemble those of his tapestries with large areas of vibrant colour within sharp outlines. His work are in numerous museum collections worldwide. Includes iron stand. 20" L x 10" W x 16.5" H
