Description

These American art deco machine age andirons were made ca 1939 by the Cutter Manufacturing Company of Cambridge, Massachusetts. The andirons have a black iron stepped base which extends back to hold the logs, a bright reticulated stainless steel center flanked by rectangular brushed aluminum columns. Tow thin black iron plates bisect the columns which are topped with a glass ball and two small stainless steel balls. The andirons, which are marked “Cutter Mfg. Co. Camb. Mass.”, measure 6” wide x 14” high and are 17” deep.
