This is an original Art Deco oil painting. It is a very well done and detailed portrait of an attractive lady. She is dressed in colorful clothing with a flower in her hair and lots of interesting jewelry. It is signed Paul Mattig Buenos Aires, top right. Research has revealed that Paul Mattig is likely a Pseudonym used by French artist Eugene Galien-Laloue. There are examples of his works with both signatures on them or simply Paul Mattig. There is minor paint loss near the left edge and a light scratch that starts as a dot near the central lower half of the painting and runs down to the bottom edge. Otherwise, it is in excellent antique condition. Medium is oil on canvas mounted on board. Size is about 22 "w x 27 1/2" . Unframed.
