NYC is now showing AGAINST THE GRAIN: Wood in Contemporary Art,Craft, & Design, a multi-artist exhibit offering over 90 objects, furniture, sculpture and installations by 57 artists and designers who are bringing fresh creative energies and new postmodernist conceptual and technical strategies to woodworking.   • The Norton Museum of Art presents The Radical Camera: New York's Photo League 1936-1951, an exhibition of over 170 works by members of the influential group founded on the conviction that photography could motivate social change.
