This unusual ashtray was made in 1963 in the studio of George Ciancimino (1928-). Hand crafted and useful for cigar, cigarette or pipe smokers, and the base of the ashtray is made of Aluminum. The balls are half round and individually set on a series of cross bars. The ashtray was used in the James Bond film "Diamonds are Forever". A simple object like an ashtray is made into a 20th century sculptural masterpiece. The ashtray is 7” in diameter and 1 3/4” high.
