This pair of American art deco andirons are from the 1930’s. The black cast iron body has a nickel plated front panel with geometric flower and loaf décor, a stylized sun at the top and three bars at the bottom. The arched front is marked "3642" on both, the rear leg holder on the left is is marked "L 3628 S", the right is marked " R 3628 S". The andirons are each 16 ½" high, 10 ¾" wide and 19" deep. They are in excellent condition.
