This iconic mid century modern hi-back lounge chair was designed by George Nakashima (1905-1990) ca 1955 for his Origins line, produced by the Widdicomb Furniture Company, Grand Rapids, Michigan. The chair, with solid walnut construction, is known for its comfort and the “ears” at the top of its back. The chair, Number 257 in the company literature, has been recently reupholstered. It is 32” wide, 38” deep and 41 high.
