Description

Jean LurÇat (French 1892-1966) is a painter, tapestry maker and ceramicist, and a main representative of the École de Paris. During the 1950s he collaborated with the Sant-Vicens ceramic studios near Perpignan. His ceramic designs resemble those of his tapestries with large areas of vibrant colour within sharp outlines with themes often based on symbolism or mythology. His work is in numerous museum collections worldwide. Comes with custom weighted metal stand. Charger measures 17.75" x 2.5". 17.75" L x 5.25" W x 22" H
