Set of six black lacquered metal Superleggera chairs designed by Gio Ponti. The woven straw seats are in a perfect authentic condition. Edited by Cassina in the 1970s. The first wooden Superleggera designed in 1955 for Cassina ,was inspired by the traditional pieces of furniture used by the fishermen in Chiavari, the village of Gio Ponti. Its ultramodern but at the same time classical lines and its weight (1.7kg) made Superleggera one of the Classic of design.
